Vienna PhD Courses School of Informatics


The Vienna PhD School of Informatics is an international graduate school, funded by the Technical University of Vienna (TU Vienna), the City of Vienna and private sponsors. Students from this program are engaged in full-time in the world, all courses are taught in English.

Overview

The Vienna PhD School of Informatics involves an intense period of supervised study and research, culminating in the submission of a thesis. The duration of the PhD School is three years. The degree is awarded to candidates who, through original investigation, make a distinct and significant contribution to knowledge in their field of specialisation.

The PhD-School’s curriculum covers the main research areas of the Faculty of Informatics. In addition, it may also imply cooperation with other TU Vienna faculties. The school is designed to facilitate the integration of industry, either by defining joint research issues, by offering workplaces (with well-defined research related tasks) during summer breaks, or by sponsoring.

TU Vienna aims at positioning this PhD School of Informatics at a high level of excellence within the international community. The vision is to increase both the quality and the quantity of excellent young researchers in the field of informatics

2011 Scotland’s Saltire Master’s phd courses Scholarship Progame

Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships (SSS) is a substantial programme of scholarships, offered on a matched funding basis between the Government and Scottish Higher Education Institutions. The scheme offers up to 200 awards, each worth £2000, towards the tuition fees of a one year Masters course at any of Scotland’s higher education institutions.

The scholarships are designed to support the promotion of Scotland as a learning nation and a science nation and are therefore targeted at the priority sectors of creative industries, life sciences, technology, financial services and renewable and clean energy (find out what study options are available). The scholarships are available to students as part of a wider strategy to promote Scotland as a study destination and showcase Scotland’s higher education offering in international markets. University of Utah Announce Reynold T. Rice Scholarships for Bachelor of University Studies Students, USA

Scholarship Description: Undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelors of University Studies (B.U.S.) degree at the University of Utah are eligible to apply for the Reynold T. Rice Scholarship. This scholarship offers its recipient $ 2,000 toward his/her college tuition in 2011-2012. It is only valid at the University of Utah and will be paid out in two equal installments – one at the start of the fall semester and one at the start of the following semester.

To be eligible for the Reynold T Rice Scholarship you must (1) have been accepted into the Bachelors of University Studies Program, or be accepted during the Spring 2010 semester, and (2) be taking classes at the University of Utah and not completing your course work for a B.U.S. degree prior to the Spring 2011 semester and (3) must be registered as a full-time student (12 credit hours or more) to receive this scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded based on the quality of the student’s degree program and the quality and content of an essay written by the student (see below for details).
Eligibility: 1.Must already has been accepted into the Bachelor of University Studies Program or be accepted during the Spring 2011 semester. 2. Must not complete your B.U.S. degree course work prior to Spring 2012. 3. Students must be taking 12 or more credit hours per semester
